1 Happy Go Lucky Little Boy

If you haven't stopped by Frosted Designs since the weekend, you need to stop by and see our new look.  I've kept myself busy over the last month designing the new look for the blog as well as designing all of the new blinkies!  It  was a learning process when it came to the blinkies. While you there, check out the new Sketch Along Tuesdays sketch challenge.  We have a unique sketch designed by our former DT member Eli and here is my take on it:
and Eli's sketch:
I dug through my stash for this one and only used one piece of new paper, the cute Scatter Sunshine paper by Amy Tangerine for American Crafts.
Here are a few closeups:
The airplane is from Echo Park's Little Boy collection.
Some cute embellishments I bought a while back from the Purple Pumpkin,
and a cute feltie bee by Sassafras Lass.
The tree is from Echo Park's Playground collection and a few more buttons from Purple Pumpkin.
I will say it felt good to use up some more of the "oldies" but goodies from my stash.  I'm really try hard to use what I have and hold back on purchasing.
Hope you'll have time to join in our on challenge.

I want to thank everyone for the kind words on my previous post featuring the layout of my mom.  I was humbled by everyone's kind words.  I posted the layout on Scrapbook.com and was moved by the number of people who are in or who had been in the same situation.  I was also pleasantly surprised to have my layout mentioned in Moxie Fab World's Out and About in the Moxie Fab World Friday Feature.
I take comfort in knowing that I am not alone in this journey with my mom.

Thanks for stopping by!
. . . Debbie

Supplies used:
Echo Park Little Boy and Playground Collection
American Crafts Scatter Sunshine by Amy Tangerine
Sassafras Lass  feltie

love your layout, so fun and full of color, this week should be a fun one for scrappers to play along with...regarding your previous post, your layout about your mom is so touching...my grandmother had dementia and it was so hard on our families to see her slipping away and becoming another person...it's hard to watch our parents get older. I also know what you mean about Once UPon a Sketch, they do have some amazing talent over there, I think your layout will fit right in!! It's beautiful!! I have entered those challenges, and my layouts are so different in style, they kind of stick out like a sore thumb...lol..but it's all about the fun... :)
