The Best Day

Brrrr, it's cold here!
The last few days have brought chilly weather.  Temps in the low 20's, a few flurries, and toss in some wind.  It is suppose to warm up into the 50's by the weekend.
I've got a layout to share with you that I created using the January kit from Artful Delight.
Gotta love those old family pictures!
I will admit that I have not worked much kraft paper and was a little intimidated with the My Minds Eye Kraft Funday papers included in the kit.  But all in all, I'm pleased with the end result.
My layout is based on Artful Delight's January sketch, designed by DT member Abby.
Hope you have time to play along!
The winner of the sketch challenge will win Artful Delight's February kit.
Thanks for stopping by!

This is lovely Debbie, the pops of colour are gorgeous against all the neutral papers. As always your layering is superb with stunning texture. Just loving all your old photos - brilliant! Hope 2012 brings you joy and the strength to cope with the tough times. Ali x

I think you did a phenomenal job with the craft paper! The pops of color in the matting and the white clouds are a very striking contrast. Love this!!!

Hi, Debbie!!! Love your layout! I've just started working with Kraft paper and I love it although I haven't figured out much to do with it yet -- other than the xmas cards I made...lol!!

I like how you added the twine to the kite and all the sweet details!

Hugs, my friend!
