Random Thoughts . . . Embrace Life

I've spent the last few days thinking about how precious life is.
Thinking how thankful we should be for what we have and who we love.
Life is short and we never know what the next day will bring.
Myself and my family have endured a lot in our lives since the break up of my marriage back in 2003.  We have struggled through the bad times and embraced the happy times.  Wednesday the 6th we were hit with another unexpected turn in our lives.  I rent a room out in my home to a family friend.  A sweet 18 year old girl who I treat as my other daughter and who I have known for several years.   Sadly on the 6th she took a plunge and attempted suicide.  My daughter came home to find her.  We all are deeply saddened and finding it difficult to cope with this.  There were no signs, nothing . . .  just out of the blue it came.  I pray that she heals and finds the guidance needed to continue on with her life.
My life has been filled with a lot complications this year.  I take it one day at a time.
I am thankful for my family; my mother, sister, son and daughter,  my dog Zoey and all of my dear friends!
I am thankful to God who guides me through these difficult times.
Embrace life!
Love life!
Enjoy life's little pleasures!
. . . Debbie

Sad times. We lost our 15 year old nephew to suicide this year. It is such a sad thing. He would have been sixteen next week. I will pray for this girl that she will find the help she needs to realize whatever is hurting her now is only temporary... Blessings and hugs,

so sorry to hear this. My brother 18 attempted suicide in Dec. He was successful but they were able to bring him back to life now he has been on life support since, he has brain function and we hope someday he might be able to be close to what he once was. Life changes in seconds. I hope this girl can realize how loved and precious she truly is. I so wish my brother realized that. I will send up some prayers for her and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of this tragic event that has happened to your friend- and wish only the best for her and your family to deal with all these emotions. Things like this do make you realize how good things really are in life and not to take one for granted. I too, today went to a wake for a dear old friend of mine(co-worker- father figure in my life) and my heart aches for this great loss- yet there are so many wonderful memories to share. But, in this case it will be a uphill struggle- but things will get better- because she has loved ones who care about her. Thinking and wishing for a good recovery for all.
