Last night I was visiting some of my favorite blogs and and came upon Sketches In Thyme and instantly fell in love with their current sketch challenge. Now mind you it was around 9:30 last night and the challenge ends today, so I started this layout last night and was surprised at how quickly it came together.
The sketch they chose is from Page Maps:
I love these pictures of me and my mom. They were taken 4 years ago on Mothers Day. I've been holding on to the Life Is Good collection by Echo Park and thought the colors were perfect to compliment my pictures.
I also used a few papers from Echo Park's Little Girl and Sweet Summertime along with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
I had worried lately that my cretivity had taken a hit with all of the stress in my life, but will have to say I felt so encouraged last night after I finished my layout!
Yes, life is good!

Deb, I only wish I could combine colours like you have here, I feel a little like you at the moment, I am struggling with DT mojo, sort of just want to do my own thing. Might even take a little break from challenges....I just want to be creative and making this stunner of a layout in the block form is something I would just love to try, can you tell me how do you oranise your papers, in manufacturer groups or all together and just pick ones that you think go together? Love to you, hope you are getting back on top. Melxx

Deb, this is gorgeous. As for your crativity .. that will never take a real hit .. you'e a natural if there ever was one. It jsut flows! Hope the stress settles though and we get to see more of your lovely work! Great photos, too!
