Family - It's A Beautiful Life

I was looking through some more old pictures that my mom had given me and came across some of my grandparent's families. I so enjoy working with old pictures as I am fascinated by their simplicity, but at the same time the statement they make.   Both of my grandparents came over from England and settled in Canada.   My grandfather's cousin was the famous English actor Basil Rathbone.    I had purchased My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Collection and thought it was perfect to showcase these wonderful pictures. I loved working with the paper and have tried my best to brush away any excess glitter!

I added some beautiful roses and mulberry leaves from Prima,  some Jenni Bowlin butterflies and some nostalgic die cuts from K and Company.

My grandmother's maiden name was Gordon and here is a picture of her with her parents and her sister Helen.  My grandmother is on the far right.

Here is a picture of my grandfather's dad and his two sisters.  Since my grandfather is not in any of these pictures I assuming he was the one taking them.

This last picture is my grandmother's parents holding my uncle Bruce.

Don't forget, its one year anniversary for my blog this month, and I'm giving away this:
