Friday couldn't have come soon enough, as I've been anxious to reveal my first layout for
I'm thrilled to be part of their great team of designers! Their sketch this week is a two pager by Sketchy Thursdays. When I first saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use these pictures and paper, but did not have enough of the paper to complete two pages. So I condensed the two pager into a one pager.
I love scrapping with old pictures. These are of my mom and her family back from 1940. My mom lived in Canada and her dad was a Royal Canadian Mountie. In these pictures her family, along with my grandfather's assistant Ormond and his children are out for the day on a boat ride. All of the paper and most of the embellishments are Pink Paislee, Bayberry collection.
Don't you just love this beautiful scrolled flourish border? I received the Cricut Reminisce Accents cartridge for my birthday. It is packed with beautiful detailed flourishes, scrolls, flowers and an alphabet.
I used my Fiskars scallop punch to create this beautiful flower, which I edged with some gold stickles.
The beautiful metal embellishments are by Making Memories.
If you haven't seen my post from yesterday, I Adore You, please scroll down to yesterday's post and take a look. I completed this layout for Sketches In Thyme's new challenge. This is my most favorite layout ever!
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, wowzer, I think this one is MY favorite although I love your pink layout from yesterday ..scrumptious! But this one has so much character and strength in it where the other is joy and love. Adore these colors. I have not seen these papers but love them! I just got my Reminisce cart yesterday and can't wait to play! Outstanding work, Debbie. God has really gifted you with lots of talent!
This is beautiful. Great color scheme; great embellishments; great memory.
Debbie, this is just gorgeous, wow, how you put it onto the one pager is very clever, that is not easy to do, I just love the papers you used for this and the mm metal plaques are just divine, just used one on a layout myself. I would love some Burlap dear friend but am a bit worried even just a small piece may cost you too much in postage, but if you find it won't or I can somehow get some money to you, I would love some, I get looked at really funny in haberdashery shops over here, they have no idea what I am talking about. How did you do that gorgeous flower, the way you added the glitz to the outside edge is truly super effective, oh I wish we could scrap together one arvo. Melxx
Wow Debbie another cracker!! Love those papers and the way you adapted the two pager into one!!!
