Our Travels - Paper Poppy Kit Co. July Sketch and Circle Challenge

It's been a long week, extremely hot and to top it off, yesterday morning at 5:04 am I was awoken to a rumbling, which ended up being a 3.6 earthquake that hit the Maryland area.  The epicenter of the quake was approximately 5 miles from my home.  Never thought in a million years that an earthquake would hit Maryland.
Last night I put aside everything that needed to be done and focused on a layout.
This picture was taken back in 2002 in Gettysburg, PA.  We had taken a family outing along with my girlfirend and her family.  We took a guided tour of the battlefields in this old vehicle.  The kids thought it was the neatest thing!  I used my July Paper Poppy Kit, A Ticket To Ride, and these wonderful papers and chipboard shapes from the Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride collection.
I based my layout on the July sketch layout at Paper Poppy Kit Co., along with their current challenge which is to use circles on your layout along with at least two items from their July kit.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hiya Debbie!
Man, oh man! I am loving this page! I adore all the accents on it and the photo I think is really cool...I had to look at the date again b/c it really could be mistaken for a much older photo (guess its the scenery and that vehicle!)
What a great page and neat page kit!
I don't know much about the east coast, being a Cali girl myself..but earthquakes, that I know! Its pretty scary but I don't imagine anymore so then tornado's and the like...none of that "mother nature" crap is very fun! LOL!
Have a good weekend!!!

This is a great take on the sketch, I love this line by Cosmo.
As for misting :) I have a laminator. I send the warped misted page through, it's like ironing it :)

Wow...an earthquake in that part of the country is very unusual. I used to live in Calif. and we had them all the time. Love your beautiful layout. The detail is awesome.
