I Love Your Smile

I decided to go through a box of old pictures of my kids, as it seems like ages since I used any of them on my layouts and came across one of my son.  He was so little and so darn cute.  He still has the sweetest smile and dimples that I am sure will melt the heart of any girl and has grown into a  handsome young man.  I used my September kit from Artful Delight along with their September Layout sketch.

You can find all the details of the kit contents here as well as the sketch layout challenge.  We also are having a detail call.  All the details can be found in the link above.

Walking In The Forest

Happy September 1st!
Can't believe how fast this year has flown by.  I am hosting the September Challenge at Berry71bleu this month.  It's a sketch challenge.  I designed the sketch and in addition to using it I ask that you incorporate some mixed media into your project.  We have two great sponsors this month, Maja Design and The Porkchop Show.  Each member of the DT was given the Walking In The Forest collection by Maja Design to work with this month.  Here is the layout I created.
Love this photo of my Grandmother combined with the pretty papers from the Walking In The Forest Collection.

Here I have used some chipboard from Scrapiniec, who sponsored our DT.  I also used the new Prima mask Lace Doily #1 by Finnabair.  Love this mask!

I incorporated a lot of stamping in my layout using Kaisercraft stamps and inks.

Please come by Berry71bleu here to check out of the details for the September challenge and then create a project for a chance to win on of our prizes this month.

Life Is Good

Hope everyone had a good weekend!
Today I have a layout to share using the August kit from Artful Delight.
There are still a few kits left.  If you would like to purchase one you can find them here.
I've been on a outline kick lately with my black zig writer pen.  Love the clean and crisp look!

Wish me luck today.  I've got a job interview and am really hoping for the best.

I want to share a layout with you that I created for the August sketch challenge at Purple Pumpkin.  I should have posted this the beginning of the month, but better late then never.
I used some Crate Paper Acorn Avenue (another forgotten purchase), along with some UmWow Studio chipboard and some Purple Pumpkin embellishments.

There is still plenty of time to enter the Purple Pumpkin August sketch challenge.  You can check out all of the details here along with the August sketch which I designed.

Mixed Media Canvas

This month at Berry71bleu our challenge is hosted by Norma and it's a fun one, "Get Creative With Textiles."  Our DT is sponsored by Inkido with papers from their Beautiful Memories collection and Scrapiniec, a Polish manufacturer of gorgeous chipboard along with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft who sent the DT lots of products to work with.  I decided to step out of my comfort zone and create a mixed media canvas for Norma's challenge.
I really enjoyed working with the gelatos from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft.  Love the rich colors and various ways you can use them.

Here I used a Prima Mask and applied some modeling paste.  After the paste dried I used various colors of gelatos, Guava, Butter Cream, Chocolate, Metallic Blueberry and Earl Grey on the modeling paste.

I  applied some Faber-Castell Design Memory Crafts Gesso on a metal heart and once it dried I dabbed on some Chocolate gelatos.  I also dabbed my flowers with the Chocolate gelatos.

I covered the Scrapiniec chipboards with gelatos, using Chocolate on one and a mixture of Earl Grey and Metallic Blueberry on the other one.  Love the details of the Scrapiniec chipboard!

I would love for you to join in on the fun and create a project for our August Challenge!  Check out Norma's post here and check out the wonderful prizes we have from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft.

Scrap Africa Guest Designer!

So happy to be guest designing at Scrap Africa today for their layout sketch #20 challenge!  I've spent many an hour going through my  never ending stash and came across the Hello Friend collection by Glitz Design.  Forgot all about it and when I looked through the papers I instantly knew I had to use it.
I misted the baclground paper with some Mister Huey's Color Mist in Opaque White and randomly inked some some yellow ink. I also used Prima's Lattice mask.

Here are a few closeups:
Lately I've been incorporating a lot of outlining in my layouts.  Here I have used the Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch Wild Flowers and outlined it with a Zig Writer pen in Island Coral.

Trying ever so hard to get back into the swing of things with my crafting.
I'll be back in a few days to share another layout with you.

Thanks for stopping by!

Scraptown Lady Guest Designer!

CLICK HERE FOR THE FROSTED DESIGNS BLOG HOP.

I'm so excited today to be guest designing for Scraptown Lady!  Cheryl, owner of Scraptown Lady contacted me to see if I was interested in guest designing. Of course I jumped at the opportunity!  She let me choose what papers I wanted to work with and I chose Prima Fairy Belle.  When my box arrived I was overjoyed at all of the beautiful papers and embellishments she sent me to work with!
On background I used the Firefly sheet from Prima's Fairy Belle Collection.

Here I used a Melissa Frances resin scroll which I inked with some Tsukineko eggplant ink and some Kaisercraft Iceberg roses.

A beautiful Prima Pixie Vine Fairy Belle flower spray and rose button which I inked with some Tsukineko eggplant ink.

Tucked beneath my picture is some Wright Venice Scallop Edge Rose lace.

Here I have added a heart button which I inked with some Tsunikido pink ink.

My favorite part of Prima's papers besides the beautiful graphics is the opportunity to fussy cut.  Here I have cut some flowers from the Summer Dreams sheet and tucked them beneath my picture.  I framed the large white doily with some tulle.

Please stop by the Scraptown Lady blog here and leave me a little love and while you're there check out their store.  Cheryl recently got in some new products.  You can also like Scraptown Lady on Facebook here and view their new products here.

All of the products I have highlighted can be found in the Scraptown Lady Store here.
