Introducing Serendipity by Blue Fern Studios

Hello everyone!  I'm here today to introduce the new Serendipity paper collection from Blue Fern Studios (created by Michele Singh) and the chipboard, stamps, embossing powder and glitter that coordinate with the paper.

First up, we have the paper.  You are going to love the gorgeous colors and details!
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines serendipity as: luck that takes the form of
finding valuable or pleasant things that are not looked for.

As you journey through this 10 sheet collection, you are going to find a myriad of treasures, intertwined with beautiful borders, textured backgrounds, dainty vintage flowers, and sweet songbirds.

Next up are the chipboard pieces we have created to coordinate with this collection.  We thought the titles of each page of this collection were so wonderful, that we created chipboard titles, too!

For all your stamping needs, we have three sets of stamps to coordinate with this collection.

We hope you have enjoyed seeing all the creative ways our Design Team has been using our new Embossing Powders.  We have three new colors that will be beautiful with the Serendipity collection.

Lastly, we have some gorgeous new colors of glitter to add some sparkle to your projects.
Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed a look at the new Serendipity collection and everything that goes with it!  My DT box is is on it's way and I am super anxious to get it!

Sweet On You, Featuring Blue Fern Studios

Hi everyone!  I'm back to share with you another layout created for Blue Fern Studios featuring their new paper collection Blush.  I love this new collection with all of the detailed papers and beautiful colors, perfect for this sweet photo of my niece.
For my background I used the Celebration paper and added lots of layering under the picture with the Fondness and Calling Cards papers.  Love the soft pastel colors and details in the Blush papers!  I added some masking on the background, paint splatters and misting with the Imagine Ink Mists in Cotton Candy and Sky Blue.

My title chipboard piece, Sweet On You was embossed with the Oatmeal embossing powder and then I randomly applied some pink paint.  Underneath the photo I used the Leafy Rings chipboard which I also embossed with the Oatmeal embossing powder.

A Jeweled Trinket chipboard piece hangs below my flower cluster, embossed with Oatmeal embossing powder and lightly applied pink paint.

Blooming Beauty Featuring Blue Ferns Studios Timeless Collection

Hi everyone!!!  Excited to share another layout with you today featuring the new paper collection Timeless by Blue Fern Studios.  Love this beautiful vintage paper collection.  I chose to use a picture of my Mom from way back when.  I used the  Maconnerie (both sides) and Calling Cards papers.  Lots of layering behind my picture with the Calling Cards paper.  Lots of stamping on the background using the Arcadia Texture stamp along with some masking and lots of paint splatters.

I embossed the Floral Wreath Chipboard with Mystic Plum embossing powder, and then embossed again using the Arcaidia Texture Stamp and Ebony Embossing Powder.  I cut the wreath into a few pieces and placed the pieces around the photo.

For my title I used Blooming Beauty and embossed it with a mixture of Mystic Plum and Garnet Embossing Powders, and then lightly inked it.

Blue Fern Studios January Sketch Challenge

Happy New Year To All!    I'm thrilled to be continuing designing for Blue Fern Studios.  I am truly blessed to be a part of the amazing design term.  I love the products and am excited to see what the year  2016 has in store.  Two new collections were introduced in December, Blush and Timeless.  I will be back later on in the month to share a couple of layouts with the new paper collections, chipboard and embossing powders, but for now it's time for another new sketch challenge over at Blue Fern Studios and Michele Singh has created another beautiful sketch exclusively for Blue Fern for January.   Here is my take on the sketch using papers from the Deja Vu collection.  Love the purple and yellow color combination in this collection. I used the Luminairies, Tresors, Petites Cartes and La Plume papers. I came across this old picture of my kids, my son being goofy as ever and my sweet daughter with her precious smile!

A few closeups:
Here I've used the Heart Frame which I cut apart and used in various spots on my layout along with Sweet from the Arrow Words.  I painted both with white gesso and randomly added some lavender paint and microbeads.

More of the Heart Frame above and below.

And here is the January sketch:

The sketch challenge rules:

One lucky winner, selected by a random draw, will receive a prize package of Blue Fern Studios chipboard!
In addition, we will also select 3 (or more) layouts to feature.
We have just a few simple rules to follow if you would like to participate in our sketch challenge:
1.) Feel free to interpret the sketch as you please by means of taking it as-is or
flipping/turning/mirroring it to suit your needs!
2). Please note that you can do whatever type of project you please - a layout, card,
canvas, altered item- whatever suits your mood and style!
We would love to see the different ways our sketch can be used.
3.) You must use at least one piece of Blue Fern Studios chipboard OR use Blue Fern Studios paper on your project. Please note that you do not need to use the pieces featured in the sketch
- use whatever suits your fancy! You can find the store nearest you HERE.
 {Do not use any other brand of chipboard on your project please!}
4.) Upload your project using the Inlinkz tool on the Blue Fern Studios Blog
midnight EST on January 31, 2016.

Hope you will join us!  For inspiration from our design team, please visit the Blue Ferns Studio Blog here.
