Halloween Fright Night

Can you believe it is Friday already?  I don't know about you, but this has been a long week for me.
Still not 100% better, but getting there.
Stuck On U Sketches has their new sketch  reveal today, and here is my layout:
The sketch this week is a two pager, but since I have a shortage of Halloween pictures due to the fact that I had already done a Halloween album, I condensed it to a one page layout.

I was used a lot of "old stuff" I have collected over the past few years along with the great frames I found at Michaels.
Wanted to share with all of you the Halloween album I started a few years ago:

Now I'm super excited for Saturday to come, because I'm actually going to a crop.  I haven't been to one in quite awhile.  Honestly I don't expect to get much work accomplished, cause I'm sure I will be spending most of my time socializing!
Next week is going to be a fun week!
I have my first DT reveal for Artful Delight, and some great news to share for Frosted Designs!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
Happy Halloween and thanks for stopping by!

Trick or Treat Blog Candy (With Picture)

Ok ladies, you all need to put on your thinking caps.  So far no one has guessed my favorite Halloween candy.  Two of have guessed some of my other favorites, but not the favorite.
Now I don't mind if you guess again, in fact guess a much as you like. If someone doesn't guess it I will give the prize to who came up with my second favorite, and someone has already guessed it.
Now I'm off to eat my dinner and then heading back into my scrapbook room to pick up where I left off last night with my cleaning.   I will come back in a few hours and see if anyone guessed it.  If not I'll name the runner up!  I might through some more on the pile and maybe even added some fall stuff!

Trick or Treat, Who Wants Some Blog Candy????

Can you believe I got some more goodies to give away?  I've been busy cleaning my scrapbook room and have a ton of Halloween goodies.  Some of it is new and some of it isn't.  You might get a sticker sheet missing a few or a spool of ribbon minus a inch or so.   I have more then I will ever use, so I'd rather give it to one of you!  Now this one is going to be a little harder, because when you leave a comment you have to guess my favorite halloween candy.  I'll give you a hint ... chocolate and peanuts!  But believe me there is more than that in this yummy candy!  The first one to guess wins!  It's late right now and I can't get a decent picture, but I will try and post one tomorrow!

Fall Mini Album Swap

I recently participated in a Fall Mini Album Swap over at Stuck On U Sketches.  I was paired off with Leah from  beeingcreativeandfeelingcherry.   I thoroughly enjoyed working on Leah's album,  and tried my best to keep her and her lovely family in mind when designing the album.  I received the album Leah made for me  the other day and love it to bits!  Here are pictures of the album Leah made for me:
I can't wait to fill it with some fall pictures!
I will share with you in a couple of days the album I made for Leah.
Thanks Leah!

Happy Halloween (A Little Bit Early!)

I want to thank all of my well wishers out there in blog land.  I'm getting there, but not quite yet.  I'm still having problems breathing and get tired very quickly.  The antibiotics have kicked in, but boy are they doing a number on my stomach!  I'm still taking it easy and haven't worked on anything this past week.  I was fortunate to get my Halloween project (picture below) completed before I got sick.  I'm hoping that next week things will settle down and I can get my creative juices flowing once again!  I've got a pile of DT projects I need to start on, but I think I'm going to take it easy over the weekend and get my strength and appetite back.

This week I'm hosting the challenge over at Frosted Designs and I chose die cuts.  At first I was going to do a layout and give my Cricut a work out since it's been so neglected.  But then I came across some  Halloween die cuts I bought by K and Company, and since I had an abundance of then, I thought it would be fun to make a Halloween decoration.
I've had this Creative Memories picture frame for awhile and thought it would be perfect to decorate.
Please stop over at Frosted Designs  and see what our DT has created.  We would love to have you join in on our challenge!
Thanks for stopping by!

Tired Of Being Sick . . .

Hi everyone!  Sorry I've been kind of MIA these past few weeks.  I just can't seem to kick this cold and congestion.  Ended up back at the doctors today.  I'm on an antibiotic and an inhaler.  It appears that my lungs are not getting enough oxygen in them.  Was told if I had waited much longer I would probably end up with pneumonia.  So, I'm going to take it easy for the rest of the week and try to get my strength back.
Hope to get around to visiting all of you in a couple of days.  In the meantime, I've got my pj's on and I'm going to crawl into bed and snuggle under my covers and watch a little TV.

4 Members Only

Brrr, it's a chilly and windy morning here in Maryland.  Fall is definitely here and I hope to stay.  We've had too much back and forth weather lately.  One day in the 90's a few days later in the 50's.  I'm still fighting my cold, got some serious congestion going on.  Thought I was getting better the other day, but now feel like I have taken a few steps back.  I had a little burst of energy last night so I took advantage of it and took on a challenge over at the Paper Poppy Kit Co.
I discovered the Paper Poppy Kit Club several months back and love the wonderful kits Aphra puts together each month.  Such a mix of papers and embellishments.  It really makes you think outside of the box!  I just love her October kit, full of Pink Paislee Old School  and Lily Bee Catching Fall!  Her October challenge includes a sketch
and using a number in your title, along with something from her October kit.  When I saw the die cut paper from Pink Paislee with Members Only on it, I knew I had to do a boy layout. Even though the Pink Paislee products are all school related, I wanted to push myself to do a non-school theme.  I found a picture of my son and his three cousins, just hanging out and being cool! The boy on the far right of the photo posing like he is one cool dude, is my son!
The chipboard house was part of thekit along with the chalkboard.  Actually everything I used on my layout is from Aphra's October kit with the exception of the star studs which I had in my stash.
Love the ruler!  Thought is was perfect for adhering "rule" to!
Don't you just love these cut fabric covered brads from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker?  Perfect to use as zeroes in my 100%!
Well, I've got a ton of things to get done this weekend!  It's already 11:00 am and I'm still in my pjs.  Need to get my act together.  Besides cleaning and laundry, I have a mini album to finish, a DT project due by Wednesday and a Crate Paper sketch contest challenge due by October 22nd, that I want to enter. I also started a Halloween layout last week that got put on the back burner after I got sick.  Need to finish it and get it posted!
I posted the winner of my blog candy on the 14th and have not yet heard from Darlene.  I will give her to the 21st and if I do not hear from her I will draw a new winner.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!

Little Miss Homemaker

It's reveal day over at Stuck On U Sketches!
We have another wonderful sketch from Page Maps!
I was a little perplexed with this sketch, only because I knew what paper I wanted to work with, but only had one photo.  But then again, a sketch is meant to be the starting point for your layout and from there anything goes!
I've just recently starting working with My Little Shoebox.  When I saw their Just Add Butter Collection, I knew I had to buy it to use with this precious picture of my daughter when she was 3 years old.  She came home from preschool with this adorable chef hat!
Everything on my layout is My Little Shoebox with the exception of the ribbons.  I added some brown polka dot ribbon to the apron.
I pleated some pink and white polka dot ribbon around my circular die cut paper.
I did some fussing cutting with one of the papers from the collection and added some flower boxes to the house and also added the brown trim!
Please make sure sure you stop on over at Stuck On U Sketches to see what our DT has created this week!
Now mind you all, I am still playing catch up with your blogs and hope to get caught up over the weekend.
Thanks for stopping by!

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends!

I'm back!!! Last night I emerged from beneath my bed covers and knew I was on the road to recover! I spent Sunday and Monday in bed with a fever.  Yesterday I just wanted to crawl into a hole!  I felt so bad I called my Mom, just to hear her voice and words of encouragement!  I want to thank all of you for your kind words you left me on my blog.  It means the world to me!
No don't worry, as I have not forgotten my giveaway.  I managed to find a few more goodies to throw on the pile.
Remember I will draw a winner on October 14th.  Doesn't matter which of the various posts where you left a comment, as I will be sure to count them all!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Little Down . . .

Please don't think I've forgotten all of you.  I've been sick all week with a head cold/sinus infection/ear infection.
I've got a big pot of stew cooking and am curled up on the couch taking it easy.  I hope to get back up on my feet soon and when I do, I'll be catching up on your blogs!
Don't forget my blog candy!  Hope to add a little more to the pile before  my drawing on October 14th!

The Boys

Friday could not have come sooner for me.  I have been feeling a little under the weather these past few days.  I've been dealing with some dizziness.  Not quite sure what it is all about, but sure hope it passes soon.  Thanks goodness I completed this layout last weekend.  Not sure I would have been able to work on it this past week.
I completed this layout for the new challenge over at Frosted Designs.  This week we had to use doodling on our layouts. Please take the time and stop by the blog to see what the other DT members have created and join in on our challenge.
I'm the first to admit then when I am at work in a meeting, I doodle mostly flowers.    But when it came to doodling on my layout I just couldn't doodle flowers.  Don't know why, so I settle for some dots and dashes, and it helped that the My Little Shoebox papers and die cuts had doodling on them. This cute picture is of my son and two nephews years ago.  We were on vacation at Avalon, NJ and they were hanging out on the front porch.
The cute little bird I purchased from My Little Bit Of Whimsy.
I couldn't resist adding this cute little button from the Purple Pumpkin to my title.
If you haven't seen it yet, I'm giving away some blog candy.
Please go here to enter for a chance to win. I've added to it once and will add to it again before I draw for a winner on October 14th.
Thanks for stopping by!
