Hi everyone! It's the first of the month and the means a new challenge over on the Creative Embellishments blog.
I created this canvas using a couple of paper collections by Blue Fern Studios. I started by applying some modeling paste using a stone stencil to the background of the canvas. Once dried I applied several shades of purple paint and mist along with some yellow paint. Lots of paper layering along with Creative Embellishments chipboard, lace, flowers and prills.
I love the mood board for the August Challenge. I was inspired by the colors, stone front building, flowers and the arched doorway. The twist to the challenge this month is to add flowers.
At the base of my canvas I used Flourish 26 which I embossed with a mixture of white, lilac and iris embossing powders.
To the left and right of the canvas I used Flourish 31, also embossed with white, lilac and iris embossing powders and cut in half. To frame the image of the Eiffel Tower I used Open Arched Windows, embossed white. Tucked beneath the flowers I used Leaves Set 1, embossed with avocado embossing powder and dabbed with white gold wax.
This is the top of Flourish 26 and to the right is a piece from Flourish 31.
