Life is a Continuous Journey of Transformation - Creative Emellishments

Hi everyone!  I'm up on the Creative Embellishments Blog  today sharing my first project for February.  I went steampunk this time.

The Creative Embellishments store has a large collection of steampunk chipboard pieces to choose from.  I paired the chipboard with papers from 3 Quarter Designs Gizmo Escapades and several shades of paint and waxes. Full list of paints and waxes can be found at the end of this post.

At the base of the layout I used a frame from Large Gear Frames.  Resting on top of the frame is the Steampunk Bee and resting on top of the bee are chipboard pieces from Gear Set 3 and Mini Gears. Pieces from Ivy Sprigs surround the gear frame.  Many layers of paint were stippled on the bee, Gray, Brushed Bronze, Matte Linen, Bittersweet Chocolate, Worn Penny and Blue Flash.

I used the Steampunk Gear Panel under the gear frame.  I cut the gear panel into 2 pieces to use on both sides of the bee.  Nestled under the bee I used pieces from Gear Set 5 and Mini Gears.

Lots of layering and a few flowers from the papers.

Thanks for stopping by!

There is a Princess inside all of us - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone!  Debbie here with you today sharing a magical layout featuring lots of chipboard from the store. Do you ever have a vision of what you want your project to look like, only to ditch that idea and come up with something else?  That's what I encountered, but I love the end result.

I've had the paper collection Princess by Stamperia for awhile.  Wasn't quite sure what to create with it until I came across some crown chipboard pieces.  Lots of layering on this one!  All chipboard pieces were treated with paint.

I used 2 different size of identical frames from Oval Ornate Frames and Mini Frames.  the larger one on the bottom and the smaller one resting on top.  I used several colors of paint.  I first applied a coat of DecoArt Americana Winter Blue, then randomly dabbed on some DecoArt Americana Sea Glass and stippled on some Folk Art Metallic Sahara Gold paint.  I used my favorite go to leafy flourish,  Flourish 10, and painted it with Folk Art Mossy Meadow and DecoArt Americana Sea Glass.  Once dried I stippled on some Folk Art Sahara Gold paint.

I used Oval Frame 2 and pieces from Filigree Corner Set 1 on the base of my layout.

And, here's my inspiration for the layout, a crown from Crown Set 1, painted with Folk Art Sahara Gold paint.  I added some pearls and bling from my stash along with a couple of flowers.

Perfectly Happy -- Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone!  Debbie here with you today.  It's a cold, cloudy, rainy day here in my neck of the woods.  I created this vintage layout to brighten up my spirits and hopefully inspire you.

I used papers from the Dusty Blue Floral collection by Asuka Studio.  It's my first time using their papers and they are really beautiful.  Lots of layering, flowers from my stash and chipboard from the store, finished off with my go to lately, paint.

At the base of the layout I used flourishes from Flourish Set 15, painted with DecoArt Americana Neutral Grey paint and stippled with Folk Art Linen paint and DecoArt Americana Fawn paint. Beneath the flourishes I used pieces from Distressed Punchinella Pieces, painted with Neutral Grey paint and stippled with Linen paint.  Resting beneath the photo are pieces from Lace Border 2, painted with Neutral Grey paint stippled with Linen paint.

Beneath the flowers I used Leaves Cluster and pieces from Leaves Set 9 inked with Versa Magic Hint of Pesto ink and stippled with Folk Art Terra Cotta Shale Green paint. Resting on top of the photo I used a feather from Ink and Quill, painted with Neutral Grey paint and stippled with Linen paint.

Here another view of the Leaves Cluster. I added some flowers and foliage from my stash along with some 49 and Market butterflies.

My Heart Is Full - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone!  I'm up on the Creative Embellishments Blog today sharing my first project for 2023 a vintage layout.   I'm thrilled to be back for another term designing for Creative Embellishments.

I used papers, chipboard clusters and frames from Simple Stories Simple Vintage Weathered Garden along with a Tim Holtz Paper Doll and assorted chipboard from the Created Embellishments store. All of the chipboard from the store was painted with paints by DecoArt Americana and FolkArt.

Love the details on the roof of the birdhouse from the Birdhouses set.  I painted it with DecoArt Americana Antique White paint and stippled it with FolkArt Vintage White paint.

I painted the Large Floral Border with DecoArt Americana Bleached Sand paint and cut the border into several pieces.

Leaves from Leaves Set 9 were inked with Versa Magic Hint of Pesto Ink and stippled with FolkArt Mossy Meadow paint.

Tucked within the layers is Lace Border 7, painted with DecoArt Americana Fawn paint and stippled with DecoArt Americana Bleached Sand paint.

Happiness - Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone!  I'm up on the Creative Embellishments blog today with this vintage layout. It's bitterly cold outside, so I thought I would create a layout using some warmer tones.  I reached for some papers from one of my favorite manufacturers, Stamperia.

Love the vintage papers from the Romantic Journey Collection.  I paired the papers with some chipboard from the store and flowers from my stash and some paints.

I've mentioned many times that my favorite chipboard piece from the store is Flourish 10.  I coated the piece with a couple shades of green paint, Hauser Green and Aloe by DecoArt Americana, and stippled on some Folk Art Wicker White paint.  Resting below the flourish is a piece from Scroll Border 6, painted with DecoArt Americana Fawn paint and stippled with the Wicker White paint.  I placed a piece from  Berries above the photo.  The piece was painted with Folk Art Ballet Pink paint.  I added some Tu-Tu Pink mini prills by US Artquest.

The photo is from the Finnabair Art Daily Vintage Photobooth stickers.  It rests atop a frame from Mini Frames, painted with the same colors as Scroll Border 6.  I placed another piece from Berries beneath the frame along with a piece from Simple Ornate Pieces

To finish off the layout I added some berries from my stash, a doily using
Scrapman Lace 7 die and paint splatters using DecoArt Americana Fawn paint.
