A Few Layouts To Share

February will be my last month  as a designer for Stuck On U Sketches.  I've enjoyed the opportunity working with the talented DT, but I felt I needed to lighten my load a little.  I want to thank Nanne, Leah and Sandi for the wonderful opportunity to be a part of their amazing design team.
This weeks sketch was perfect for a picture I chose of my grandparents.
My grandmother's family was from England and she always dreamed of going back there.  It was a trip that always remained a of dream of hers, as they lived a modest life and could never afford the trip.  But hey, we all have our dreams!
Here is the 2-4 sketch from Scrapbooks Etc., which I flipped:
I used up a lot of my stash and have a little bit of this and that incorporated on my layout.  Here are a few close ups:

I also managed to squeeze in a layout for the Fabulous Friday Challenge - Pink, Red and White over at Frosted Designs!  I used a picture of my uncle and aunt and the beautiful Be Mine collection by Echo Park.
Here are a few closeups:
I found this beautiful lace and pearl trim by Recollections at Michaels. I realized when I was taking a picture of my layout that the I put the trim on crooked!  Yikes!!!!!!!!!!  Could not get it up to straighten it out!
Hope everyone is staying warm!  The weather has been bitterly cold and I know a lot of you got hit hard with the latest snow storm.

Know exactly what you mean by "lightening the load" I had to do the same thing, I am enjoying scrapping so much more at the moment, it is just what I needed. I had to laugh re: the lace trim because I do things like this and no-one ever notices. I love everything here and love how you can add so much gorgeous stuff on your pages. Love MElxx
