Remember This Winter Day and Believe

One great thing about being on the design team for Artful Delight is Leeanne the owner puts together a great kit!  Her December kit is filled with Echo Park's Wintertime collection!  I love this collection and the warm winter colors.

The December kit is packed full of wonderful embellishments including banners, chipboard, brads, flowers and red stickles.   Take a look at this:

If you are interested in purchasing the kit, you better hurry as there are only a few left!  There is a new sketch challenge over at Artful Delight  and the sketch was designed by me. Create a layout or card based on the sketch for a chance to win the January kit.  You can check  it out here.

Now on to the details about my layout.  I couldn't resist using this picture of my son, only 3 years old at that time with his dad, after he had built his "Frosty"!  I altered the picture in Photoshop, changing it to black and white and then colorizing Jeffrey and his dad and snowman.

Before:
After:

Here are some closeups of my layout:
I actually recycled the cover sheet in the Echo Park Wintertime collection and punched out the little squares using the cover sheet.  I couldn't resist passing it up!

I hand stitched a border around my red cut out using some brown embroidery floss.

Everything I used on my layout is part of Artful Delight's  December kit with the exception of the snowflake which I punched with a Martha Stewart punch!

Be sure to head on over to Artful Delight and check out all the details on the kit and sketch challenge.
AND
Don't forget that December 3rd is the start of Frosted Designs first holiday blog hop!

I also want to thank Clare D. over http://cricutcraftyclare.blogspot.com/
for nominating me for the Stylish Blogger Award!

Thanks for stopping by!

This is a fabulous page! Love it. And the picture with the snowman is adorable, love it too.
The letters in my summer layout came like that, I think it's one of those diecut packages from K&C. Lovely kit too, must check it out. Thank you for sharing all your talent with us!!!!
