Twas The Night Before Christmas . . . Featuring Blue Fern Studios

Hi everyone!  I know it a busy time for all, preparing for Christmas which is only a few days away.  I've got lots of presents to wrap and cookie baking to finish up today.  Looking forward to spending Christmas with my family.   I have another project to share with you today, created for Blue Fern Studios featuring the Vintage Christmas and Vintage Christmas II paper collections.
Love this picture of my sweet dog, Zoey.  She loves to lay on the couch next to the Christmas tree,  I used Twas The Night paper from Vintage Christmas 2 for my background.  Lots of layering and fussy cutting using Holiday Cards and Jolly from Vintage Christmas 2 and Wonderland from Vintage Christmas.

Here's a close up of the beautiful Blue Fern flowers, Christmas Blooms, Soft Blossoms and Attic Charm Roses.

Here I used the Dream Catcher chipboard, embossed with Snow.

To the left of the photo I placed a past of the Leafy Bough chipboard which I embossed with Verdant and Sea Mist embossing powders.  The title was embossed with a mixture of Poinsettia and Sea Mist.  I added some random stamping with the Forever stamp and added Sea Mist embossing powders.

A Christmas Greeting Featuring Blue Fern Studios

Hi everyone!  Hard to believe Christmas is a few days away.  My how time has flown by since Thanksgiving.  Today I have the first of my last 3 design team projects for Blue Fern Studios to share with you. I went in a different direction for my first project and decided to create a Christmas Canvas, a gift for my sister.  I used a mixture of the both of the Vintage Christmas paper collections.
I worked with an 8x8 canvas, which I covered with the Let It Snow (side B) paper from
Vintage Christmas 2.  Lots of paper layering from both collections and of course chipboard and flowers! Some masking on the background as well as some micro beads.

Under my layering I used the Grand Ornament chipboard which I cut in half and embossed with some Snow and Oatmeal embossing powders.  Lots of gorgeous Blue Fern flowers  including Attic Charm Glitter Roses, Harvest Lilies, and Soft Blossoms.

At the top of the canvas is the upper portion of the Grand Ornament chipboard.

On each side of the canvas I placed the Frosty Flake chipboard which I embossed with Snow embossing powder.

Blue Fern Studios Products:
Paper:  Vintage Christmas 2:  Let It Snow, Holiday Cards
Vintage Christmas:  Auld Lang Syne
Chipboard:  Grand Ornament, Frosty Flake
Embossing Powder:  Snow, Oatmeal
Flowers:  Soft Blossoms, Attic Charm Glitter Roses, Harvest Lilies

I'll be back in a couple of days to share another project with you.

Big Drama . . . Blue Fern Studios

Hi everyone!  Back to share another layout created for Blue Fern Studios featuring the Memories paper collection.  I've enjoyed working with this collection.  A fav of mine! I created this layout for a dear friend of mine and it features her daughter.
I used the Remember When paper for the background.  I added some light blue inking along with some random stamping.  Beneath the picture I've added a backing from the Calling Cards paper and placed the picture on the Mandala Frame Chipboard which I embossed with Mushroom Imagine Ink Embossing Powder. Lots of beautiful flowers from the Memories Blooms collection.

Here is a close up of the Mandala Frame.  I added some mircobeads and Sunshine Glitter for texture.

Tucked beneath the flowers is a Mini Flourish Chipboard embossed with Mushroom Embossing Powder.

I kept the title rather simple, inking it blue and adding some stamping.  Here you can see the vibrant flowers from the Memories Blooms.

Each Day Is A Story Worth Telling . . . Blue Fern Studios

Hi everyone!  The holiday season is upon us.  Thanksgiving has come and gone.  I had a lovely day with my children.  Lots of movies to watch and food to eat.   After dinner my children were off on their annual
Pre-Black Friday shopping event.  I stayed home and did some shopping of my own on the computer.  Not much of a fan when it comes to large crowds of people.  Just as many good deals online as in the stores.  Now on to business . . . I have another layout to share created for Blue Fern Studios featuring the lovely Memories collection.
I love creating vintage layouts.  I came across the picture on Pinterest and thought it was fitting for the title.I used the Grand Sequel paper for my background.  I added some peach ink and stamping, including the Blue Fern Grungy Grid stamp.  Lots of layers under the picture using the Calling Cards paper.

The top and bottom right hand side of the picture I used the Formal Corners Chipboard.  I embossed with some brown from my stash along with Imagine Ink Ginger and Breeze Embossing Powders.  Love the aged look to the corners. Tucked under the picture to the right I used the Mina's Border Chipboard, embossed with brown and Ginger.

Gorgeous flowers from Harvest Lilies, Memories Blooms and Tranquil Blooms!

I used the same treatment on the title as I did with the Formal Corners, a mixture of brown powder from my stash and Ginger and Breeze Imagine Ink Embossing Powders.

Blue Fern Studios Products:
Paper:  Memories Grand Sequel, Calling Cards
Chipboard:  Formal Corners, Mina's Border, A Story Worth Telling
Embossing Powder:  Ginger, Breeze

Let It Snow - Blue Fern Studios Vintage Christmas 2

Hi everyone!   Over the weekend temperatures dropped a good 20+ degrees.  Cloudy grey skies only make me realize what is coming . . . winter and along with winter comes snow.  Not quite ready for that yet.  I do admit that I love looking at the falling snow, especially when it leaves a blanket on the ground as well as the bushes and trees,  With that image in my mind I created the following layout using the new Vintage Christmas Collection 2.
I used the Let I Snow paper for the background.   I did some light inking with pink ink as well as misting with a mint green mist and added some masking, microbeads and stamping some of which included the Forever Stamp.  I wanted to add lots of texture to the background.  My picture is framed with the Dangled Flakes Chipboard which I embossed with Imagine Ink Snow Embossing Powder and added some snow texture paste along with some chunky glass glitter.

Lots of beautiful Blue Fern Flowers from the Christmas Blooms and Soft Blossoms collections along with a piece from the Layering Stems and Mystic Branch Chipboard which I embossed with Antique Gold and added some Vintage Gold Glitter.  I added some snow texture paste to all of the flowers to mimic the branches in the picture.

Love these beautiful new flowers!!! The little placard "Let It Snow" is from the Calling Cards paper.

The Title is from Serendipity Words.  I embossed with Snow, Antique Gold and Sea Mist Embossing Powders.

Blue Fern Studios Products:
Paper:  Vintage Christmas 2:  Let It Snow, Calling Cards
Chipboard:  Dangled Flake, Layering Stems, Mystic Branch, Serendipity Words 2

Amazing Featuring Memories by Blue Fern Studios

Hi everyone!  Back with another layout today designed for Blue Fern Studios featuring the new Memories paper collection. I wanted to show how versatile the new paper collection is.   This time I created a summery, tropical layout.

I used the side B of the Tale of Treasures papers.  I did some light misting with purple and added some stamping with the Shabby Edges stamp and some random splatters of black ink. I chose not to add any additional layers under my photo, as I used the new Janie's Frame Chipboard under my photo.  I embossed it with a mixture of Iris and Lilac embossing powders and added some micro beads for texture.

Tucked beneath the new Dark Tropic Lilies are Berry Stem Chipboard pieces embossed with Ebony embossing powder and lightly coated with black micro beads.

he title is part of Brilliant, Amazing, Dazzling,  embossed with a mixture of Ebony and Lilac Embossing Powders.

Blue Fern Studios Supplies:
Paper:  Memories Tale of Treasures
Chipboard:  Janie's Frame, Amazing, Berry Stems
Embossing Powders:  Ebony, Lilac, Iris

Blushing Beauty Featuring Memories by Blue Fern Studios

Hi everyone!  I'm late this month sharing my Blue Fern Studios layouts.  I've been fighting an upper respiratory infection for the past several weeks and to top it off my dog has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure.  We're both on medication and feeling better.  TodayI have a layout to share with you using the new Memories paper collection. Michelle has done it again, creating a beautiful paper collection.

I love creating Vintage layouts.  The new Memories paper collection is perfect for such layouts.  I used the Nature's Novel paper for my background. I was drawn to the fall colors and gorgeous details on the paper.  I layered under the photo with Chronicles (side B) and Grand Sequel (side B).   I added some subtle inking to the background paper and some random paint splatters.

To the left of my photo I used the Dashwood Bouquet chipboard.  I covered it with some brown stain and  embossed with a mixture of Ginger and Garnet Imagine Ink Embossing Powders. Tucked beneath the photo is the Floral Lattice Bits chipboard embossed with a mixture of Ginger, Garnet and Magenta Embossing Powders.  To add some texture I placed some colorful micro beads randomly on the chipboard.

I embossed the small Swirled Floral corner with Ginger and Garnet Embossing Powders.  I cut the chipboard into two pieces and placed the larger piece to the right side of the photo and tucked the smaller piece down at the bottom of the photo.  I tucked in some flowers from the new Late Winter and Dark Tropics Lilies. I love the new lilies!!!

I used some brown stain on my title and added some embossing with Ginger and Garnet.  Love the aged look to the title.

Blue Fern Studios Supplies:
Paper:  Memories Natures Novel, Chronicles, Grand Sequel
Chipboard:  Swirled Floral Corner, Dashwood Bouquet, Floral Lattice Bits, Blushing Beauty
Embossing Powders:  Ginger, Garnet, MAgenta

Blue Fern Studios Vintage Christmas

Blue Fern Studios has been keeping 2 secrets and I am excited that I can finally share the news with you.
First, they are bringing back their very popular Vintage Christmas Collection!  It sold out so quickly last year,
that many of you were unable to get it.  We couldn't let that happen, so Blue Fern Studios brought it back for you.  Here's a close-up look at the elegant Vintage Christmas paper collection featuring shades of
blue, green, red, pink, and neutral tones, all with a true vintage look.

Vintage Christmas

The second secret that we have been keeping, is that designer, Michele Singh, has created a
stunning companion collection we are calling Vintage Christmas 2.
This 6-sheet collection has all new designs with a vintage feel.
Combining these two collections will give you a generous 12 sheets
of 2-sided holiday paper for all your upcoming projects.

Vintage Christmas 2

We also have many chipboard pieces and titles, flowers, embossing powder,
and glitter that coordinate with these collections.  Keep checking the Blue Fern Studios blog and
Social Media pages.  We will be sharing those in the near future.

Patience, Featuring Blue Fern Studios

Hi everyone!  I'm back to share another layout created for Blue Fern Studios featuring a couple of the older collections, Deja Vu and Love Story.

I used the Atelier paper for the background.  I added some white inking around the outer edges of the papers and some random masking of small dots around my photo. Layering under the photo includes the DejaVu Calling Cards, Tresors and from Love Story, Calling Cards.

I embossed the Floral Wreath with a mixture of Black Sand, It's A Girl and Petal Imagine Ink Embossing Powders.  I cut the wreath into pieces and placed it around the picture.  Some micro beads were added for texture.  I used Attic Charm Daisies and Attic Charm Glitter Roses.

Underneath the photo I used  a Doodle Corner chipboard, embossed with Black Sand, Its A Girl and Petal Embossing Powders.

The title piece is from Blissful, Jubilation, Patience.  I chose Patience for the title as I thought the girl in the photo looked so patient as she stood there to get her picture taken.  I embossed it with some Petal and Buttercup Embossing Powders and added some inking.

Smile

Hi everyone and TGIF!
It's been a long and hectic work week and I couldn't be more excited for the weekend.
Lots of plans, places to go and people to see!
Today I have another layout to share that I created for Blue Fern Studios featuring papers from the Sanctuary and Tranquility collections.

I found the cute vintage picture on Pinterest.  Love the angelic little girls and the pop of pink coloring added to the picture.  I used the Sanctuary Conservatory paper for the background.  I added some subtle inking with some berry ink to the background paper.  Layering under the picture includes Sanctuary Calling Cards and Tranquility Serenity paper. I cut out some doilies using the Tranquility Serenity paper.  I ripped the doilies into pieces to add some additional texture to the layout.

The Boston Lattice chipboard sits under my picture. I embossed it with some dark brown embossing powder from my stash and added some Fuchsia and Mushroom Imagine Ink Embossing Powders.

To the right of the picture I used the Garden Daisies - Large Chipboard, embossed with Mushroom and Fuchsia Embossing Powers with a touch of brown.  I used the Attic Charm Daisies and added some brown micro beads in the centers and tucked in some brown Courtship Blooms.

The title is part of Laughter, Happy, Smile. Embossed with a mixture of Mushroom, Fuchsia and Brown Embossing Powders.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!
